I'm so glad I did! It has been a great way to record the process of my quilting, as well as the finished products. And I love the blogging community I've joined! Until joining the EB Quilters and starting my blog, quilting was a solitary journey for me. Fun, but incomparable with the enjoyment I'm getting from sharing my quilting (and indulgent photos of James and Eleanor)with others.
In true blogging form, my blog and I are celebrating with a giveaway. Sometime next weekend, James will help me choose a winner from the comments to this post to receive a custom mini quilt. You don't need to be in Australia, and you don't even need to blog - just make sure I have a way of contacting you if you win (maybe I have your email or know your EB name) so I can get your address and find out a bit about what sort of quilt you might like.
The winner may or may not be the closest answer to this: Which of my quilts has the most pieces? And approximately how many are in it? You can see them all in Flickr (link on the right).
Wow! Your quilts are absolutely amazing!! I think Canadian Inspiration has the most pieces but I could certainly be wrong. Maybe it's cause I'm Canadian? Happy Blogversary.

ReplyDeletePersonally as much as i have other favoriates i think the canadian quilt has the most pieces.. probably over a 1000 which makes my mind just go :S that you could sit there and make that!
Happy Birthday to your quilt blog!
I think it might actually be beach! Congrats on your blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteI think it might be that RR centre going around...you never know how many pieces it has now...til you get it back of course and count them!!
ReplyDeleteHow could I pass up an opportunity to win one of your guilts. I admire your work so much that I don't think I could ever pick a favourite!

Happy blogaversary!
hugs, Jodi (batnbub from EB juju)
Happy blogiversary! Off the top of my head, I am going to guess the purple & green one with all the curves & foundation pieces, simply because I remember you commented on how small the pieces were, thus, my powers of deduction suggest that lots of small pieces go into a big quilt! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI think I will say Beach too. Happy Bloggiversary!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you took the plunge into Blogland as your quilts are gorgeous and you have been inspirational to me into getting my act together to finish projects and try new things.
ReplyDeleteHappy first Blogversary.
not sure which quilt has the most pieces, the canadian quilt certainly looks like lots, but there was the green and purple one you did recently and you mentioned about having hundreds of pieces to put together!
Happy Blogiversary! Its been a joy and soo inspiring to read your blog updates, and the lovely pics of James & Eleanor!
ReplyDeletePS My guess is 918? Am I right???
Actually I change my mind LOL I think 1,857! Just a random guess, but probably from Canadian Inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWOW your quilts are stunning! Amazing what you come across when you blog crawl!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say the beach quilt has the most pieces, but then i'm not a quilter :)
I love the four seasons quilt you made for a swap, that is gorgeous!

Gosh, it's really hard to choose between Canadian Inspirations and the Beach quilt, but I'm going to go with Canadian Inspirations because it's one of my favourites :)
