Giveaway Sundays - Week 1


It's time for the first fabric giveaway! This week's offering is four half-yard cuts (a total of 2 yards) from the Eva range by Basic Grey for Moda. I've used quite a bit of Eva in my current quilt. Look out for another range used in this quilt in one of the later giveaways.

How to Enter: This week I'd like you to include in your comment a guess at the amount of stash in my new cupboards. It shouldn't be too hard; I've blogged about both stash and cupboards before. International entries welcome.

    I'm guessing 1.75 kilometres :) Nice fabrics in this draw.

    Ok, after alot of calculations, blog reading and the assistance of an almost 11 year old, my guess is 1393 yards and 2 FQ. I know you don't do FQ but this is the distance from my house to yours divided by 2 people; you and me! I originally divided by 5 children, 2 poodles, 2 cats, 2 guniea pigs and a sea snail but that was a hideously low number!

    I'm going to say probably around 1.3 km - and I'll admit I'm super jealous of the space you have to keep it all!! These four are absolutely gorgeous!

    Awesome stash!!! It looks great in the new cabinets and Ilike the way you sorted them....so many subcatagories. You must have 1000 yrds in there! Lucky you!

    Hmmm...the question is if it all really IS in your cupboards! (ie., does it all fit??!) I'd guess total is 1450 meters.

    I'm guess 1.25km cause that's close to two other guesses and I don't know how big a km is (being in the states and all!) Maybe I would be more happy if I weighed my fabric instead of myself in the morning? lol

    Lovely cabinets. wish my room was big enough for cabinets..

    I am going to say 1.4Km and I am super jealous because those cabinets are to die for! I really need a couple of those in my sewing room!

    You said you had 1.016 Kilometers of fabric in your tubs and had some that were not in the tubs as they had been pulled for projects. The new cupboards are wonderful and very well organized. So I am going to guess that you have about 1.5 Kilometers of fabric in your cupboards. All very neatly and precisely organized. Good work. Well done. I should be so organized.

    I don't know how much you have but I am jealous since i have no stash at all! Tight budget-just buy enough to finish a project. I would love to have the stash you have. i would never run out of projects. I'll say you have 1.56 km of fabric.

    Well, we all know how much you had in the tubs, but that was a while back. Some in, some out--mine has a tendency to grow! So, my guess will be 1.037 km.

    Emma - you have such a wonderful stash - and soooo very organised. I'd love to know how long it says put? I would guess about 1.35 Kms. That really is a difficult one...how do you measure all that lot out ??

    I'm going with 1273 meters--and by the way, I love how you measure your stash in km instead of meters! One of the benefits of having gone metric, I suppose--I have a lot, but I doubt I'm up to a mile yet!

    20x90m= 1800m - would be my guess estimating on my own 30m of fabric which I bought last Friday.

    1.016 kilomters? butthat post was in january..
    maybe until now you have 1.300 kilometers af fabric?

    Well you used to post a Sunday Stash, which I don't see anymore. But my guess is you have made it to 2km :-) You have lovely cupboards with even lovelier fabric stash. Thanks for the giveaway!
