Somehow I never got around to blogging Apple Falls when I completed it. But this evening I was updating its listing on Etsy, and had the photos to hand, so here it is!
Apple Falls is a version of my Winter Harvest tree quilt. I originally made it so I would have my own, because I was finding it so hard to give away the original, which I designed and made for an early round of the Flickr Doll Quilt Swap. But as I make more and more quilts, my emotional attachment to the earlier ones weakens enough for me to see the sense in letting them to go make way for newer quilts. That has especially been the case with my tree series, since I've made a few of them now, in various guises. I'd never have guessed that this design would be quite so popular!
From now until Christmas, if any of my blog readers would like to buy Apple Falls, I'm offering you a $10 discount, to be sent as a PayPal refund - just mention you read my blog in the comments section when you check out.
Tomorrow I'll share some pictures on what I've been working on.
Here's a hint - swirls are tedious to applique!
