Snowflakes and stars

Here's one of the blocks I've been working on. I'm managing to use two snowflake prints in this quilt; the white background and the cream.


It looks fiddly (though you probably wouldn't guess there are 80 pieces - it surprised me when I added it up!) but it's a 16-in block, so it builds up reasonably quickly.

Another after the pattern!

I have a hard time getting the background corner squares to sit totally flat. I think I might either slightly stretch the bias seams as I sew, or otherwise my finished measurements for the diamonds are slightly out. Looks like foundations would solve my problems.

I'd love to have a go at that block if you'd like to share it.

I wondered what would appear from your previous post, I just love foundation piecing, that's a very clever way to get around the inset corners.
