Fancy Feathers Finished

I finished quilting Adds' quilt with fancy feathers tonight. The lap size quilt took just over 8 bobbins (approx 1100m)  and around 12 hours to quilt. I took a few photos to admire my work once it was done, but will wait until the binding is added to photograph it properly - becuase somehow Adds managed to con me into doing her binding, too! So here's a bit of a peek at what's kept me from blogging all week.

I'm definitely a lot better at feathers that I was before I started, and managed to come up with more feather filler designs as I went. The close-up below is one of the last sections I completed, and is much neater than the first few. It shows two of my own favourite fillers - both circle designs; the 'pearls' lining the edge of the feather near the centre of the photo, and the decreasing circles in the feather towards the top left.
