A little help from my friends

I realised last night that what I really want to be doing right now isn't piecing, but quilting. And the quilt I'm working on won't allow the kind of quilting I feel like doing even when it's done.

So I asked my good friends from the Essential Baby quilting group if anyone had a top waiting to be quilted. Almost immediately Ad offered up this gorgeous top pieced from Prints Charming fabric, and AJ volunteered her beautiful disappearing nine patch in hot pinks, yellows and oranges. Both girls have given me free reign to FMQ them as I wish and should have them on the way to me tomorrow.

So hurry up Australia Post! Thank you so much Ad and AJ. I really think ths will help me get back into the swing of my quilting. And I hope you're happy with the quilting when you get your quilts back!

I'm facing the same scenario since I cannot get more batting until later this year (if able to). Instead I've whipped up some baby quilts. Have one just finished quilted and the second all basted to be quilted.

I love the quilting detail in the bottom photo. I recently went to a class on how to do it but haven't got up the courage to let myself loose on anything with it yet. I'm sure the quilting for your friends will turn out beautifully.

Plenty of WIP here Lily!!

I was starting to get the guilts about not finishing this one, as her sister has had one for quite a few years so I'm happy to have Emma help me out!

I posted it today Emma...and an extra envelope for return posting if it will fit...if not keep it for something else and let me know the postage costs.

Do you want some eQuilter vouchers or some money for the wadding and threads??
